It has been wonderful to be able to welcome you all back to Mooroopna Golf Club, albeit under the strict guidelines that we are required to operate within. To ensure you are aware of these guidelines and changes please find following an update.
From The Pro Shop
Our Saturday fields are certainly breaking records at the moment and we thank you for your support. For your information, we will have over 160 players in the field this Saturday. To help with the increase in usage, we do ask that all players please follow the rules and be vigilant with hygiene habits.
The recent Government ruling in allowing 20 people to group allows our Saturday Competitions to revert back to 8 minute intervals, players need to be ready to tee off when called. There is a greater responsibility for all players to comply with the rules and follow strict guidelines as published on our web site home page. We ask all players to read these. The most common rules are -
1/ Only arrive 10 minutes before tee off and do not be late or you may forfeit your game
2/ Do not congregate anywhere near the clubhouse or Pro Shop - Grab & Go attitude please especially after your game
3/ Maintain 1.5 metres from each other and do not, shake hands, hi five or elbow acknowledgements
4/ Do not play or visit if you have symptoms of flu/cold no matter how mild
The Pro Shop, in managing the competitions, is stretched at times due to the major increases in field sizes especially Saturday's. Sometimes the competition for the day may not be finalised until the next day, so if the competition results don't appear to be correct, please wait until the next day and recheck.
From the Club House A reminder, our Eagles & Birdies Bistro has reopened, please show your support and make a booking.Operating under stricpt COVID restrictions for the safety of patrons and staff, the Bistro will open with reduced hours Thursday to Saturday evenings from 5.30pm, offering 3 x 1 hour sittings, and on Sunday's from 12 noon. Bookings are essential and maximum table size is 6 people. Drinks can be ordered via table service only. On evenings when the Bistro is open, meals will also be available for take-away between 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Please see the menu below, if you would like to make a booking please call the Bistro on 0478 762 110.
Take away drinks are being sold from the Club House doors on Saturday from 11am to 3.30pm. Take away drinks purchased may be consumed on the course or taken home. Please note to minimize the risk of gathering, drinks are not permitted to be consumed after golf.
