Dear Church Members and Friends,
Please make sure you scroll down for important updates on Church Services and Events.
Jesus uses sparrows, one of the cheapest things sold in the first century market, pennies or assertion coins, one of the smallest currencies in the Greco-Roman world, worth about half an hours work, and the very hairs on our heads, to say that if God cares and knows about these things, how much more does he know, care and love each one of us.
It is with sadness that we saw the news reports of George Floyd in Minneapolis, who was brutalised by Derek Chauvin while being arrested, while other Police Officers just stood around and did nothing.
A fellow pastor wrote "There are bad cops in the world. There are bad people in the world. We know it and we should not step up to defend the indefensible. We need to stand with those who call for an end to racism. We are no longer defined by our race, or politics, or any other thing but our relationship with Jesus. The people of this planet are our family, created by our Father in heaven and imbued by Him with rights and identities that are of His choosing and by His design." Powerful and true words!
I encourage you to listen to the President of the South England Conference of Seventh-day Adventist, Pastor Emmanuel Osei's message of condolence, with a statement on racism by clicking here.
Sincerely,
Pastor Mark
