Welcome to 3 Point Thursday! 

Each week I'll send you the three most compelling ideas, facts, studies and/or products related to nutrition, health and wellness that I have to share.

I'm gonna keep it light this week!  


As a reminder, a full moon lunar eclipse happens tomorrow afternoon at 3:12 EST (more about this here).

This energy illuminates what we can let go of, new choices we can make and the fruition of our desires.
Keep an eye out for all these in your consciousness and take advantage of the supportive energy to gently flow into these areas of inspiration.

And if nothing else, we can just go super easy on ourselves and others.  
We're all connected, all going through something and all thrive at the core of our beings through deep love for and acceptance of ourselves and one another.  

 
  • Picking Peppers

Anyone growing green bell peppers in your garden this summer?
Did you know there are male peppers and female peppers? 
You can distinguish gender by looking at their bottoms :)
Male peppers have three bumps and female peppers have four.
Female peppers have many more seeds, though they are sweeter and therefore better for eating raw.
Males are less sweet, and therefore better for cooking. 



  • Sunshine salvation

Have you been hearing about the most important vitamins for immunity?
Vitamin D is for sure in the top 3.. and while the blessing of supplementation is necessary at certain times of year in certain parts of the world, sunshine is the best!  

Just 15-20 minutes of sunshine triggers your body to release over 200 antimicrobials that fight fungi, parasites and viruses. 
To sit, walk, run, lay in the sun for a bit each day or most days is doing our immune system a super solid.
Something else I love about this is that you can pair sunshine with so many other immunity boosting activities like exercise, earthing and creating connection with nature.


The world might seem to be going mad, but our amazing sun is still in the sky and has so much to offer us, in addition to immunity. 

Exposure to the sun offers direct nourishment to the pineal gland, aka the 3rd eye chakra, which regulates our circadian rhythm and our intuition - see more on this here.

And of course a little glow from the sun on the face and bod can do a lot in the way of feeling more generally radiant and confident, which is not just about aesthetics: 
Proper exposure to the sun increases endorphin and serotonin production, boosting good feels in body and mind!
