MWSA & PHASE 2 OF GOVERNMENT OF ALBERTA RELAUNCH PLAN

The Government of Alberta has announced that we are moving to Phase 2 to relaunch the economy, starting Friday June 12. More businesses, sport, and recreation services can open, if they are ready. Some larger gatherings for seated audience events will be permitted. In all cases, public health guidance must be followed. That being said, MWSA remains closed until further notice.

The Mill Woods Seniors Association is located in a City of Edmonton-owned facility, and we are waiting for direction and confirmation from City of Edmonton officials for a reopen date, along with guidelines from Alberta Health Services on how we can provide a safe, and enjoyable environment for our members and guests, staff and volunteers. We are currently having these discussions, and are working on our own Re-Launch Plan to welcome you all back in the safest manner.

Please note that even when we are given a date to re-open, we will require time for training and to prepare our facility with new procedures and protocols focusing on increased safety and hygiene measures, for our staff and volunteers. The health and well-being of our members, staff, instructors, and volunteers remain a priority. Continue to check our website for regular updates. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Laugh of the Week!

One good thing you can do this week:  Enjoy the great outdoors. The Edmonton Nature Club has a list of places that you could go birdwatching.

"Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature--the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter." -Rachel Carson, marine biologist, author, and conservationist
