Happy Friday!

As we move towards the re-opening phase of our churches, we encourage you to reach out to your local parish or the diocesan office of young adult ministry to find out ways you can be part of this important moment in our  Church history!

We hope you enjoyed our weekly updates the last couple of months, but this June we go back to a monthly basis! (Yes, we are eager to gather as community again!) Take advantage of all the opportunities we have this month, specially the virtual retreat with Maryknoll and all the conferences geared towards marriage, dating and relationships.

We will also start including resources in Spanish, local opportunities for service and great events from other diocesan agencies, articles and so much more! So stay tuned and invite friends to subscribe here.

Blessings from the YAM team, Sheila, Mayra and Yazmin.

Bishop Pates with a Request to Young Adults
Our Maryknoll Young Adult Team brings you a one day retreat on grieving, coping, and hoping. Our Restless Hearts Retreat is a time for young adults to process and navigate through personal and collective losses. We are facing deep complexities of intersectional grief in our losses—great and small—in this pandemic, including the killing of George Floyd and ongoing injustices against our Black sisters and brothers.

Maryknoll has walked alongside suffering around the world for over 100 years, nourished and transformed by wisdom from many different cultures. We want to offer the same accompaniment and the wisdom of the world with you now. Our time in prayer, reflection, and community is a time to process our grief. We will listen to guest speakers including Dr. Ansel Augustine and Mario Martinez as they offer insight into coping and processing skills to support us in this time of suffering and loss.
