WE’RE BACK!!

After a long break, our Restaurant & Cellar Door re-open this long weekend.

During the break, the drought has broken, here in Mudgee at least. We’ve had some terrific falls of rain, one was very generous, over 100mm.  The water level in Lake Shiraz rose by well over a metre. It is now full, overflowing, not seen in 10 years!!

The countryside is green, waiting to welcome you all back! We like to think the green is lawn, but being in the country, it’s only tightly packed green weeds. 
Late Autumn/early Winter is a great time here, long sunny days though the nights and early mornings are cold.

 Come and sit in front of a ‘real’ logfire.
 
GREEN GARLIC OIL - 
OUR 6TH SEASON


Being June, the green garlic is calling again!!  Hopefully this week will see the first batch for 2020, mostly going to those requesting to be on our Waiting List. From then on, it’s a new batch every week (each batch taking 8 or 9 bunches of new young garlic, plants (‘standing up like soldiers’).

You can now order on the website. The bottle size is again 100ml costing $19.


BRAIN KILLER CHILLIES –
A PEEK 
 
Here is an image of the Brain Killer Chillies, harvested in the last couple of days.  We must have hundreds, all with a Scoville rating of about 50 out of 100! 

The Oil scares the daylights out many visitors interested in tasting, but for those who try it, the special flavour (rather than the heat) is its unique attraction. 

It also comes in a 100ml bottle, priced at $16.
