We were not able to have our 1st quarter Ministry Meeting due to Covid-19 and social distancing.
I have attached the 1st quarter finances below for anyone who is interested. Through May 31st we are about $9,500 behind on giving for the year, so we have actually made up some ground the last 2 months. Thank you so much for your faithfulness to Open Door Church.
We have been able to host Larry and Pam Noland in the church apartment for the last several months. God knew this was coming and was able to use our church to meet their need as their furlough plans were greatly altered. The Nolands are missionaries in Arctic Canada that used to attend Open Door Church and became Christians while attending. We are blessed to partner with their awesome ministry.
We were able to take up a love offering for Love Inc as they continue to minister on the front lines to the many families in our community who have been affected by hard times.
We currently have 13 people going through the process of becoming members at Open Door Church. We will vote them in at the next regularly scheduled Ministry Meeting. If you are interested in membership, please respond to this email.
This has been a difficult few months in our country; our prayer and ministry is needed now more than ever. Please continue to be in prayer for our leaders, our workers on the front line, those who have been infected by Covid-19, those who have lost jobs, our churches who are still trying to minister, for those who are hurting right now, for racial reconciliation, for practical solutions that bring lamenting and healing to our country. I pray that we would be actively loving our neighbors, spreading the love and message of Christ, and helping our hurting friends, families, and community.
