Georgia Tourism Conference Update

While considering how to proceed with the Georgia Tourism Conference, Explore Georgia’s utmost concern was the health and safety of our partners. We also wanted to find a way to meet the need for professional development and fulfill the benefits of our industry professionals coming together. To maintain both of these important principles, and with support from our local hosts, we have made the decision to reschedule the entire Georgia Tourism Conference to 2021. Mark your calendars for the next Georgia Tourism Conference to be held August 30 – September 1, 2021, at Lanier Islands Legacy Lodge.

In lieu of this year’s conference, we are pleased to offer two new professional development program options.

The Georgia Tourism Summit will be held on September 2, 2020, as a one-time only event. This Summit will be a one-day version of the annual Tourism Conference, including the Governor’s Luncheon program. Additional details are below so your planning for this special event can begin.

Beginning on June 9, we will also offer a new monthly webinar series, which will bring the conference’s breakout sessions directly to you, free of charge.

This updated programming will help meet our goals for education and collaboration, while ensuring the safety and well-being of attendees during this unique time.
