Zoom webinar: Teaching Biotech from a Distance - Vaccine basics

This week's webinar will not focus on techniques or topics for distance learning.  Instead, we will learn about the basics of vaccines from someone who makes them.

SPEAKER:  Dr. David Koelle, Center for Innate Immunity and Immune Disease, University of Washington

Dr. Koelle studies virology and immunology, along with viral oncogenesis, tumor immunotherapy, practical vaccinology issues such as adjuvants and delivery systems, and immune-mediated adverse drug reactions. The core skill in his lab is the refined dissection of the human T-cell response to large-genome pathogens, with a newer focus on T-cell receptor expression and biology. His lab focuses on HSV-1, HSV-2, and VZV, in areas ranging from candidate vaccine discovery to pre-clinical models to immunogenicity testing for clinical trials.

We're going to use Zoom, so this will be somewhat informal.

Webinar Date:  Friday, June 5th, 2020
Time:  2 pm Eastern time (note:  this is 1 pm Central time, 12 noon Mountain time, and 11 am Pacific Time)

Keep safe everyone,
