Our intention last week was to release a RollerCon update today, but it is in the trash. It is inappropriate to do anything but mourn and pledge our support as we experience anger and sadness at the killing of George Floyd and all those who came before him, and at the entrenched systems of oppression that allow police brutality of people of color to continue.

First and foremost, it is so important to acknowledge that RollerCon would not be what it is without the members of the BIPOC skating community involved at every level; management, volunteering, attendees, skaters, officials, announcers, medics, coaches. Every single department, team and group in RollerCon is made up of and indebted to the crucial contributions of people of color who have made the convention what it is. Thank you so much.

We stand with you in solidarity now and always, and we demand justice. We stand in solidarity with the fight against systematic racism, white supremacy, and the historic and ongoing oppression and marginalization of the Black community. We accept our responsibility and the debt we owe you for this world, and we pledge to do everything we can to change it.  #BlackLivesMatter
