Virtual Primary Art Exhibition
The annual Art Exhibit is one of the highlights at SIS each year. We continue our commitment to highlighting the role of arts in our curriculum this year through a virtual art exhibition.
Grade 5 Step Up Day
Congratulations to our grade 5 students as they will soon reach an important milestone in their life - finishing primary school! Moving to middle school can be an overwhelming experience as students deal with more courses and work with more specialist teachers. Expectations for school work and homework change to meet the increasing academic and social demands in middle school.
Part of our transition program for our grade 5 students involves visiting our Bayside campus. On June 3rd Wednesday, students met several of the teachers they would have as 6th graders and learned about structures and challenges they would tackle in the transition to Bayside from Nathan Lill, our Middle School Assistant Principal. Students watched a video introduction to the middle school programs and met many of the new teachers who are eager to meet them in August, from all over the world. Students were able to see the Bayside learning spaces in action and get to know the facilities on campus.
SIS Primary Library Year-End Dates
The end of the year is getting closer but the library continues to be full of happy readers! This week was the last week for regular borrowing.
June 8-12: All library books are due back. Please email Ms. Megan Graff (mgraff@sis.org.cn) if your child will be returning to SIS in August and you would like them to borrow books for the summer.
A member of the library team will be at the gate to Jingshan Villas on Friday, June 12 at 11:30 am for anyone needing to drop off books.
Welcome back, Nursery!
