VIRTUAL SCREENINGS  3 June. 2020

The Film House is committed to continuing to offer engaging and thought-provoking films during this unprecedented time. We also cannot ignore what is happening in the world right now. Yesterday, in honour of Blackout Tuesday, the FirstOntario PAC pushed pause on any scheduled activity as a sign of respect and to support the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

We recognize that as individuals, as an organization, as a country, and as a global community, we need to do more to create the change that is so desperately needed.

We also recognize that stories provide a way of learning more about each other and that the arts have the unique power to amplify the voices of those who have been oppressed.

We have included resources below for you to learn more, including films you can watch at home. And, of course, we will continue to offer The Film House at Home as we aim to further amplify diverse perspectives. We are listening and learning.

This week, The Film House at Home offers another celebrated new film that shines a light on more social injustice and inequality in our world Made in Bangladesh

Half of the proceeds from these virtual cinema screenings directly support your Film House. Visit The FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre’s Film House at home website for a full listing of films available for virtual screenings, updated regularly.
