Here's what I learned THIS WEEK about
Lillian Genth's painting...

  • It's more about the gesture & mood of the overall painting than the 10,000 details
  • Don't try to copy every brushstroke. But DO LEARN from her strokes, colors & edges
  • Painting a life-sized  study in 9x12 is pretty challenging I'm committed though...I love it enough to push through
Some are painting along, some at other times and just observing so trying to tailor teaching to meet both needs. Some may want to try a head study on 8x10.
  • I'm adjusting my teaching each week.  I love all your comments & observations!! They are great!!

PART 3 Video is below
it includes captions throughout with some of the more important statements

Hopefully this will help you scan through to the parts that are applicable at the time.
