Vacation Checks - If you are going to be away this summer, you can register your home with the police for a vacant home check. Contact the police on the non-emergency number (973-543-2581).

Drive Carefully! - Finally, a reminder that with the stay-at-home order, there is increased pedestrian traffic across town and throughout neighborhoods. Please watch your speed and drive with care. Be a good neighbor.

Bear Care

Wildlife Management - If you are new to town, please be aware that among the miles of trails, you will enjoy seeing abundant wildlife, including black bears. Recently, there have been sightings of a large bear in the area of Horizon Drive. Before you venture out for a hike, anywhere in the community, consider using a bear bell, and tie it to your belt loop, on your dog's collar or on a backpack. Bears are wary of people and will avoid you, if they know you are present. Also, dogs must be leashed in township parks and on the trails. Learn more bear facts.
