Time for Nature
World Environment Day 2020
World Environment Day urges all of us to protect our natural surroundings. Each year on 5 June the United Nations celebrates World Environment Day. This year, 'Biodiversity' has been chosen as the theme to illustrate the importance of an environment that is rich in diverse plant and animal life to maintain the health of our planet, especially from disease.

Virtual Tour of the Western Treatment Plant
Celebrate World Environment Day and this year’s theme is biodiversity, with a tour of Melbourne Water's Western Treatment Plant in the comfort of your home!
Join us as we experience a virtual tour of the Western Treatment Plant. It will include stunning 360-degree views of bubbling treatment ponds, century-old paddocks, interesting facts and engaging videos.

How to Save, Grow and Share Heirloom Seeds
Heirloom seeds are our gardening heritage. Handed down over generations, these treasured varieties are an important part of our agricultural biodiversity and are adapted to our local conditions and cultures.
In this online workshop you’ll learn the basics of seed saving for common vegetables, how to grow from seed successfully and possibilities for sharing seeds with your local community.
