Like many other organizations, the pandemic period has and continues to affect our activities planned within the framework of the Mamu Ensemble Together project which was to take place last March in the community of Mani-utenam and in the Mauricie region in Quebec.
Despite everything, this downtime allowed us to rethink our working method, plan new projects and organize ourselves for the upcoming months.
Today, we proudly share with you two initiatives recently launched in relation with music as a tool for dialogue and the fight against racism.
- We made an appeal to our community from here and around the world to ask them to share with you their point of view on the importance of music for dialogue.
Via La Boîte interculturelle's Facebook page or our YouTube channel, you will have the opportunity to view these messages of peace, hope and music!
- Secondly, during the winter, in collaboration with Samuel Couture-Brière, Noemi Lira d'Autrement d'ici, we worked on an overview of what exists in Quebec with regard to the use of music as a tool for intercultural dialogue and the fight against racism and discrimination.
The approach is not exhaustive and aims to provide a very brief overview of the various projects existing in the province. This document also gives you a brief review of the scientific literature on the benefits of music as a tool for intercultural dialogue.
To stay abreast of our future initiatives follow us on social media or by subscribing for free to our Website.
