Join us this summer to learn about teaching astronomy using Slooh!
Our mission is to support educators as they engage their students in the process of scientific
thinking through the lens of astronomy. Our workshops are conducted by Slooh’s Director of Education, Russ Glenn, an experienced educator with over 20 years of classroom experience. Russ will introduce teachers to Slooh’s unique resources that make astronomy education exciting and fun for students, while being incredibly simple to implement for teachers.

SLOOH QUEST: THE LUNAR PHASES
With Quests, students collect images of phenomena in space, research related information, analyze their data and draw conclusions in a series of self-directed learning activities that culminate in the creation of their own personalized infographic featuring their images, as seen above.
In our workshops you will:
Watch the live telescope feeds and learn about the celestial objects visible through
Slooh's worldwide network of robotic telescopes
Learn how to use Slooh’s exciting curriculum-driven quests as engaging lessons for
students whether they are in the classroom or remote
Have the opportunity to ask questions about astronomy and space exploration
Earn one-hour of professional development credit (certificate provided)
All Slooh professional development workshops are offered at no-cost and come with a free
