Wednesday, June 3 is the 85th anniversary of the night when 1,000 unemployed men scrambled onto CPR boxcars on the Vancouver waterfront to begin the historic On to Ottawa Trek. Canada would never be the same.

Today, Wednesday June 3, join Project Manager Bailey Garden for a free virtual tour of significant sites in British Columbia, retracing the Trek through Google Maps, archival photos, video and articles.
Space is limited to 100 participants. The tour will be recorded and available to view online.

We have been creating a similar historical timeline for the current COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to collect data, and are planning outreach to BC unions to learn about how they have administered collective agreements, work during the pandemic and impact on union membership.
