We have just learned that today, June 3rd, has been designated a national advocacy day to try to protect the OPT and H-1B program. The suspension of the OPT and H-1B program would essentially restrict high skilled immigrants to be employed in the US and undermine US higher education. Please see the press release put out by the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students (NAGPS) announcing this effort. The website toolkit provides sample messaging and social media handles you can use. You will also find here a letter written by members of congress who are in support of the OPT program.
