Precautions are now set in place at the indoor arena. The Observation Room, bathrooms, and arena rail have been freshly painted during the closure. Bathrooms and door handles will be disinfected between every class. We will also limit the number of people permitted in the riding center during lessons.
Classes have a limited number of riders and we are closed to visitors till our county turns to the green phase. Only volunteer staff and participants are permitted on premises. Each rider may be accompanied by only 1 parent in order to keep attendance to a minimum.
The horses are healthy, happy, and staying in shape, although they may have added on a few extra pounds while working from home. I know they are anxious to get back to their very important jobs. Staff is ensuring that all our horses are prepared to welcome riders back in the saddle!
I’d like to express my gratitude to those who reached out to offer help to Shining Stars’ riders and volunteers that are struggling with finances. Since April 3 we have delivered food on a weekly basis to families that have found themselves in a crisis situation due to the stay at home order. You gave over $1000.00 toward the purchase of household necessities plus hundreds of dollars in grocery items. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE!

Our Silent Auction is coming up fast! Wouldn't you like to be a "Written in the Stars" sponsor and help support our program? There are 3 levels of participation. Gettysburg Horse Show
The Gettysburg horse show, Sponsored by the Gettysburg Riding Club is coming up on August 2nd. This is a benefit show for Shining Stars and all proceeds go towards supporting our ministry.

Thanks for Joining us on Facebook
During the time off from classes due to the pandemic, we were thankful to be able to connect with some of you with our Facebook live series. During the 10 minute live videos we had fun learning about the horse health, daily barn chores, the veterans and driving programs and much more. A big thank you goes out to all who helped with the video, demonstrations and horses. We ended the series with a quarantine style graduation. Congratulations to Rachel and Amigo!
