A WORD FROM YOUR PRESIDENT
COVID-19
Resuming Association Operations
Prepared by Samuel Aubrey, Chief Executive Officer
June 5, 2020

Opening Back Up the WSRAR Building:

Serving WSRAR Members is of utmost importance as we adapt to the ever-evolving recommendations and protocols outlined by federal, state and local healthcare authorities and their approved guidelines.  We want to see our Members and Staff teams able to safely come back to our building as quickly as possible to continue providing the same amazing service and support we have been providing remotely during COVID-19 stay-at-home and shelter-in-place orders.  However, we also want to make sure that everyone’s safety is a priority during this time.

As we created this re-opening strategy, we were following the CDC’s guidelines and the North Carolina Governor’s Three Phase Plan. Please know that any of this plan’s details could change at any moment. Association Members and Staff are still encouraged to follow these updates and changes on all WSRAR website and social media channels, NAR and NC REALTORS® association websites, and continue to monitor news from the CDC, the state of North Carolina, and local authorities.

As of June 8, 2020, the following guidelines and protocols will apply until further notice:

On June 8, 2020, WSRAR Staff will begin returning to work in office and abiding by prescribed social distancing guidelines.

Signage will be posted internally and externally at the Association with guidelines on accessing the building and to receive assistance from Association Staff.  Keep in mind, due to social distancing restrictions, only a limited portion of the building will be accessible with a maximum number of members allowed to be able to enter the building at one time.

The Association restrooms, meeting rooms, breakrooms, store and other facilities will not be accessible at this time.

All Members visiting the building will enter and exit through the North (back of building) entrance and asked to wear a mask.  If a member does not possess a mask one will be provided to the member prior to entering the building.

There will be “stand here signs” to indicate and maintain a distance of six (6) feet apart to enter the building and while receiving assistance.  Please show extended courtesy and exercise patience as we work together to meet the needs of each Member desiring assistance.

The REALTOR® Store will not be open for walk-thru traffic but will be taking orders via phone for pickup at the Association office.  You may also visit the Association to place an order and have it filled by Association Staff while you wait.

For those Members who desire to continue receiving service and assistance virtually, there is no change to the existing processes.  Please contact any member of Association Staff at your convenience.

WSRAR continues to analyze every aspect of member engagement and will make further determinations for in-person service, meetings, and events as we progress through these days and weeks to come.  Thank you in advance for working with us during these unprecedented times.
