Reminder: K5 & 8th grade Parades THURSDAY and June Academy info

Dear MESA Families,

We're so proud of our K5 and 8th graders! To commemorate their hard wordk, MESA will be having a K5 and 8th grade completion parade on Thursday, June 4, 2020.

K5 is from 9:00 - 10:00 and 8th grade is from 12:00 - 1:00.

The parades will take place at MESA. Parents will drive up and teachers will hand the completion certificate and t-shirt to the scholar. Families have 3 minutes to get out of the car to take pictures. The ceremony will be on Facebook, but it will not be live. We strongly encourage you to limit participation to immediate family members only. Contact us if you have any questions. Congratulations, scholars!

June Summer Academy will offer online classes for high school students, eighth-grade students, and students taking part in Extended School Year. Course selections for MPS students will be determined by a school counselor.

June session runs June 1–26, 2020, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Online registration links are available on the Summer Academy web page. Paper registration forms will be available starting May 11, 2020, at the MPS Stop, Grab, and Go sites and will also be mailed to families. Paper forms can be scanned and emailed to elo@milwaukee.k12.wi.us or can be dropped off at any of the Stop, Grab, and Go sites. Families may also mail their forms to Milwaukee Public Schools, Extended Learning Opportunities office, room 150, 5225 W. Vliet Street, Milwaukee, WI 53208.

MESA scholars are eligible! Families must have their school counselor email a current copy of their transcript and a letter from the school indicating the course requests to elo@milwaukee.k12.wi.us.
