COVID-19 solutions service
The Innovation Agency and Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust have joined forces with Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership to create a website for suppliers with innovative solutions to COVID-19 challenges.
The new service is aimed at those suppliers who have been directed by the Department of Health and Social Care to donate or supply to their local community, and at smaller companies that are not currently part of the NHS supply chain.

HealthTec Cluster’s first birthday
The HealthTec Cluster, which is based at Sci-Tech Daresbury and of which the Innovation Agency is a partner, has just celebrated its first birthday. It aims to bring together expertise from industry, academia and the public sector to promote innovation and stimulate economic growth.

A new group has been formed by the University of Central Lancashire to help solve problems faced by NHS trusts in the coronavirus pandemic, and the longer term.

Liverpool entrepreneur's funding success
Liverpool social enterprise Chanua has been awarded funding through the NHSX Techforce19 challenge to develop a solution to help young people maintain good mental health during COVID-19. The Innovation Agency has supported company founder Naomi Mwasambili and we have supported Chanua in launching a new website called Neurolove, aimed at helping young people in care.

Exchange growth
The Innovation Agency Exchange continues to grow: the latest company to submit an innovation – WoundWorks, which has developed a wound management platform – is the 250th to do so since the site was upgraded in the autumn. It now has more than 1,500 registered users.
