I'll go to heaven forever being thankful to the people that give you money so that folks like me don't end up being alone.

Love Story

It's just Buffy and me. I'm 89 and I do OK but I'd be lost without Buffy. I have a caregiver who came in 3 times a week until this virus hit but now my doctor says that'd be unsafe. I lost my husband 26 years ago to cancer. So when Buffy got these big warts and they started bleeding, I started praying for a way to help her.

Let me tell you the rest of our story.

Where Did You Go? Helping Our Fur Kids Adjust to Another Big Schedule Change.

What if you were living the life of your dreams? You used to be lonely but NOW your favorite people are always around and they're paying lots of attention to you! OR, what if your nice quiet home has been invaded and you feel like you never get your quiet time alone?

Either way, in our fur kids’ lives things are about to drastically change.

What if your kid is one of the many that vets predict will get depressed or even show signs of separation anxiety?

Take Steps NOW To Lessen Those Possibilities

I don't know about you, but I've been so thankful to have Ellie and my cats Smudge and Maya always with me during this "stay at home" time in our lives. I wake up every morning with Ellie plastered to my left hip and Smudge tucked into the crook of my right arm. Thank goodness they are here to remind me that I am loved and that we'll get through this. They are my sense of joy as day rolls into day.

Has it been that way for you too? Do your fur kids sometimes feel like your salvation?

All the changes in my external life have left me feeling off balance and unsure sometimes of what to do. I just know I want to do something to help. I'm so grateful that I have a safe place to be; that I have the finances to get through this; and that each day Els, Smudge and Maya are here with me.

I'm sure it's no surprise to hear that there are many more families that adore their fur kids just as much as you and I, that now find themselves desperately trying to get them help when an emergency threatens to force them into economic euthanasia. Our request rate has doubled.

We need your help to be able to keep more families like Buffy's together.

I know this may be an economically and emotionally challenging time for you as well. Quite honestly, I struggled with whether or not to ask for your assistance right now. But I know how much you love the bonds you have with your animals. And I know you'd feel good about keeping another family together if you could.

So if you're able, would you consider joining our Faithful Friends program? Knowing Ellie's Rainy Day Fund has income we can count on would be a big help! Setting up automatic, recurring payments of $5, $10 or $20/month hopefully wouldn't cause you financial hardship and would make a real impact to keep families together by saving their pets' lives.

Thank you for your consideration. I respect that whatever decision you make is the right one for you and our community.

My pets aren't the most productive coworkers... they haven't fully grasped the WORKING from home part but their toys and hopeful expressions do make coffee breaks more interesting!
