Coming Soon: New Employee Profile Report, State Legislative Fact Sheet, and Impact Finder tool 

IRIS will soon be releasing three new products:

• a redesigned and enhanced Employee Profile Report with more detailed data on the employment destinations and outcomes of your university's research-trained employees after they leave campus, including information on the companies that hire them
• a State Legislative Fact Sheet outlining research-related spending in your state, viewable by state legislative district for use in governmental relations efforts. This is based on the existing Congressional Fact Sheet.
• an Impact Finder tool to help identify research-related businesses and stories aligned with your current communications priorities. For example, users will be able to search for research vendors by county and by funding agency.

IRIS Summit 2020 canceled as cost-savings move

IRIS has taken several measures to adjust to the fiscal uncertainty brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

For instance, we are canceling our annual IRIS Summit for 2020, as it is unclear when air travel will return to normal. Also, we have implemented a hiring freeze, as have all academic entities housed at the University of Michigan. 

These steps are meant to allow IRIS some financial flexibility while maintaining a similar level of service.
