Invite your friends to a Teach-in on the possibilities of a Just Recovery from Covid-19 in Canada
Dear <<First Name>>
There has been a lot of talk recently about a Just Recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, a recovery that puts individuals and the environment first and that leaves nobody behind. But what does it mean?
Through 350.org, two Peterborough organizations have arranged on-line events to build a shared understanding of the problem we are up against and to find plans to achieve social justice as we Respond, Recover, and Rebuild from our health crisis and lay the foundation for a Green New Deal.
Saturday June 5 at 3:00 pm Peterborough Youth Empowerment has organized a Teach-In over Zoom. To register via 350.org please follow this link. You will receive an email with a link to the Zoom room for the event.
Sunday May 31 at 10:00 am the Unitarian Fellowship of Peterborough will use the concept of a Just Recovery as the key feature of their Sunday morning Zoom meeting. To register through 350.org please follow this link or simply attend the event without advance registration at this link.
If you can't make either of these, you can click here to find a teach-in another Canadian community.
Or, if you would prefer to read more about a Just Recovery in Canada, please visit this web site to learn more about the six principles and how you can get involved to help make it happen.
Most important, no matter where you live, please forward this invitation to your friends and anyone who might be interested in what a Just Recovery might mean in Canada.
Now is the time to exert pressure for a Just Recovery on all levels of government.
