Celebrating Communion in June

On Sunday June 7th, we will have two ways to
participate in holy communion. You can join from wherever you watch the service using your own bread and juice. The pastors will bless the elements and lead you through the liturgy during the live stream worship broadcast.

Alternatively, we will offer drive-through communion at the church immediately following the conclusion of the 11:00 am livestream broadcast until 1:00 pm.

Two Opportunities Planned to Say Farewell to Amanda Herridge

After nearly 7 years of service as our Children's Program Director, Amanda Herridge is transitioning from her position to a new adventure. You are invited to join us in sending her off well in two ways:

(1) Participate in a drive by parade on Sunday May 31 at 4:00 PM at the church. Traffic will enter the church from Calhoun Avenue on the North end of our property to greet Amanda at the curb of the Family Life and Worship Center before exiting to Barton Avenue. Anything you wish like to give to Amanda can be retrieved from your trunk by our team while you remain in your car. Signs and/or decorated vehicles are encouraged.

(2) Write a letter in which you share a funny story or favorite memory of Amanda. Include your farewell greetings. Letters may be dropped off during the parade.

Drive Thru Prayer Resumes Friday June 5th
9:00am-10:00am

Stop by Valet Cleaners and Laundry (Temple) on the Corner of 57th Street and Scott. Pastor Brian and the Prayer Team will have their masks on and available to pray with you while staying at least 6 feet from your vehicle.

Upper Room Devotionals Can be Delivered!

The May-June edition of Upper Room have arrived at the church. Please contact kay.birkholz@fumctemple.org if you would like to have a large or regular print delivered (social distancing) to your door this week while supply last.

Children’s Department Summer Sunday School!

We are still having Sunday School this summer via Zoom! Please make sure that you are subscribed to the Children's Department Newsletter, or checking the website at www.fumctemple.org/connect/children to stay up to date on everything related to the Children's Department.
Mrs. Goodfellow's 3rd-5th grade class will meet at 8:30am, and Mrs. Emily Lincoln's PK-2nd will meet at 9:20am. Meeting ID and links are on the website. If you have any questions, please direct them to children@fumctemple.org

FUMC TEMPLE PRESCHOOL UPDATE

We finished up our online lessons on May 20th. The last live chapel was Tuesday, May 26th.

Due to the many restrictions and regulations placed on child care facilities we will not be having our FUMC Preschool Summer Program. We miss our kids so much and look forward to seeing them in the Fall. If you have any questions please contact Pastor Tom.(tom.robbins@fumctemple.org)

FUMC Temple Preschool will hold a Drive Thru Parade and personal belongings pickup on the FUMC school grounds parking lot. Join us with your kiddo in the car on June 4th from 10 am –12pm. The teachers will be there so kiddos can say goodbye from the car window.

The parade will also honor our Pre-K Graduates!

An e-mail is sent out each Sunday morning with the bulletin and link to access the online worship service. If you have not been receiving these weekly e-mail messages, please contact the office to request your name be added to the list. 254.773.5269 or contact@fumctemple.org .

Please direct mail to our mailing address at PO Box 773, Temple, TX 76503. Mail sent to our physical address at 102 N. Second Street, Temple, TX 76501 will still get to us (eventually), but will only be delivered when the postal worker finds a staff person at the church office.
