From the President & CEO

For an organization focused on hands-on learning, the last couple of months have been difficult, to say the least.  But, I can proudly say our staff has risen to this new challenge!

Our first step was to help teachers continue the learning they were doing by providing Young AmeriTowne and International Towne lessons in an online format.

As the school year comes to an end, we have just launched a suite of Virtual Programs, including virtual camps, virtual Girl Scout Badge Classes, virtual YouthBiz classes, and virtual Money Matters classes for youth and their families to keep young minds engaged and learning this summer.  We know families are feeling uncertain in many ways, including financially, about their future.  As children learn financial concepts virtually, families learn, too!

Week-long camps start at $100 with several free workshops. Camps are all facilitated by our expert senior staff.

As this is particularly true for low-income youth who outperform their peers in personal financial knowledge gains through the Young AmeriTowne program, I’d like to ask you to consider a donation to help ensure families most in need of this education receive it.  Every amount helps, and every amount is appreciated.  Donate online today.

Respect for People

Young Americans Center for Financial Education values ethics and integrity in every aspect of our business and teachings. Our founder, Bill Daniels, was firm in his principles which inform our work to provide all children regardless of background or circumstances a strong foundation in financial literacy and workforce readiness.

On Respect for People, “Bill was a compassionate person and showed genuine interest in the lives of others. He treated all people with equal respect and dignity, and never considered himself to be "above" anyone. Bill was a good friend, and never hesitated to help those in need. He recognized that people make mistakes, and was known for giving second chances. Bill believed in the power of the individual, and inspired and challenged people to see their own potential. He always made a point of offering praise, encouragement, and congratulations.”

These values are more important today than ever before.

Concept of the Month: Credit Smart

Credit is important in today’s world.  But, to be able to use it wisely, children must learn about its benefits and costs.  This month, Young Americans Bank helps you learn all about credit!  Once you are ready, Young Americans Bank offers learner credit cards which can help build your credit rating.
