Opportunities

1. UNIDO Pakistan - Virtual Session for Training and Implementation Program on EnMS

UNIDO under its framework of its GEF funded project titled as Sustainable Energy Initiative for Industries in Pakistan is working on Implementation of Energy Management System(EnMS) and Energy System Optimization(ESO) in over 50 industries across Pakistan. The implementation is being carried out through consortia groups comprising of Energy Management Consultants, who are working along with the energy teams of the beneficiary industries to implement the Energy Management System following ISO 50001 EnMS approach.  In order to enhance the capacities of  the Energy Consortia, recently the UNIDO along with its consultant has launched an extensive training on EnMS on conceptual and practical aspects.

This is a unique opportunity to learn about best practices in line with ISO 50001 along with practical application of EnMS  and ESO in industry. In this regard, the criteria is:  1) Bachelors/Master degree in Engineering plus some relevant energy related experience preferably with Industry (internships / industrial projects may be counted as experience). 2) Bachelor or Masters  degree in Management with a good number of years of  relevant energy related experience in industry.
Considering UNIDO's mandate for gender mainstreaming, we were approached to engage more women professionals in energy for said training.

Women In Energy (WIE) assisted in engaging 25 women in energy to undertake UNIDO's EnMS training and implementation program.

You still have time to apply for this week's training. Reach out to us at connect@womeninenergy.pk

2. Apply for Climate Reality Leadership Corps Global Training

This July, The Climate Reality Project and former Vice President Al Gore will host their first-ever virtual climate advocacy training.

This free global event comes at an unprecedented moment in history. The COVID-19 emergency has shattered our sense of normalcy and forced us to grapple with the kind of world we want – and need – when this crisis is over. A world where we rapidly transition away from fossil fuels to end the climate crisis, safeguard our health, strengthen our communities’ well-being, and ensure justice for those who have been marginalized in the past.
