NEWS AND OTHER STUFF! We are very grateful for our Conference Leadership for helping us all through this Health Hurricane! Bishop Carter and His TEAM of District Superintendents are asking us to continue ONLINE CHURCH ONLY, at least, through THE FATHER’S DAY WEEKEND. Right now with the restrictions currently in place for spacing and safety we can only host approximately 50 people in our Sanctuary at one time! Every discussion, debate and decision is focused on providing the safest environment and most satisfying worship experience for you and your loved ones! We are currently working to have all the supplies required to follow the State, Local, Conference and CDC Guidelines for when we are allowed to consider re-launching! Many of those necessary items are on back-order! We are also working hard to provide special opportunities for us to begin gathering! You will learn about those opportunities in the next few weeks! HEY BILL! CAN I ASK A QUESTION?! Your question is "I hear we are having Vacation Bible School! How is that possible with the Campus Closed?!" That is a really GREAT QUESTION! THANKS FOR ASKING! 2020 will be my 10th Vacation Bible School at Indian River City Church and I am really excited about it! It is always one of the BIG HIGHLIGHTS as we work to "Bring People to Jesus!" by "Bringing Jesus to People!" As you might guess, this year's edition on MONDAY-FRIDAY, JUNE 15-19, 2020 will be very different from other years! Usually we flood the entire Campus with lots and lots of excited girls and boys along with lots adult and student teachers and helpers! BBBBBBUUUUTTTTTTTT...with the ongoing Health Hurricane happening, we are placing the safe-keeping of you and your children as our number one priority! SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOO...our Children's Ministries has created a way to bring our 2020 FOCUS VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL EXPERIENCE to the homes and families in our community via a VIRTUAL-AT-HOME EXPERIENCE! As with every Church Campus, there are always facility limitations that limit the number of participants we can host! With this virtual format...there are absolutely no limits! Everyone and anyone can participate! Those who register ONLINE at our Children's Ministries Facebook Page will receive a "VBS TOTE TO GO!" to have in their home and receive full access to our VBS VIP FACEBOOK GROUP for lots of additional materials! AAAAAANNNNNDDDDD...the great news is that it is all totally FREE! You may be asking "How can help?!" WWWWWEEEELLLLLLLLL...You can PRAY with us and for us! You can PARTICIPATE by sending in pictures from your house so we can produce one of our great VBS VIDEOS! AAAAANNNDDDDDD...You can PARTNER with us by providing some of the things we want to place in our "TOTE TO GO!" Our goal to get as much "Church" into as many "Homes" as possible! I am so proud of Linda Benson and her amazing TEAM for their adaptability and creativity in these challenging times to provide an experience for all the community children in our current circumstances! I hope we both look for, listen to and learn from Jesus every morning in THE UPPER ROOM! Thanks for joining us every week for our ONLINE CHURCH EXPERIENCE! Finding ways to use our time, talent, treasure and things to make our Campus, Congregation and Community a better and brighter place to live, give and grow is the way God is calling you and me to live out each day!
