Happy Pentecost!

Just like the first Christians, we find ourselves on this fiftieth day after the Resurrection in our homes, gathering at our tables, praying together, and worshipping God. It may not be what we're used to, but it's very similar to the period of the church's infancy that led to spectacular growth. As Rev. Tina reminds us often, the most important thing is not that we gather with large numbers, but that each one of us are growing in our faith.

As Rev. Tina, the staff, and the Session have been thinking and praying about what our "new normal" looks like as the world tries to recover from the change brought by the Coronavirus, God has given a vision for a new opportunity in this fast-changing time.

Watch our service Sunday morning as we dream God-sized dreams for the opportunities that are ahead of us.

Maybe, like the church in Acts, we have an opportunity to offer hospitality and worship in our homes so that small groups of us can gather in this time of social distancing.

As the children's rhyme reminds us, "here is the church, here is the steeple, open up the doors and see all the people." But take away the church building and steeple and what do you have? The Church! It's not the building that really makes up the church, it's the people!

Announcements

Though we are disappointed that we cannot host Matt Hybarger for a concert in person this summer, and our normal concert schedule is on hold for the time being, we are excited for this special online event!

Matt Hybarger will be performing some of his hits and a number of worship favorites during a virtual concert on June 19th at 7pm on our YouTube channel. Mark your calendars and plan to tune in!
What are you and your family up to during this time of unprecedented change and social distancing? Send us your pictures! You can email them to outreach@pariseco.net.

Barb LaPosta is also working on the Summer issue of the church newsletter, so watch out for that in your mailboxes soon!
While we continue worshipping online in this season, we have an opportunity to involve everyone in worship in new ways. If you would like to be read Scripture, pray, or share a God-sighting in worship through a short video, contact Pastor Tina or Joel.
