In the aftermath of the tragic death of George Floyd and the violence and destruction of the past days, there are many ways we can support the healing and re-building process, whether donating food, making a financial contribution, helping with the clean-up, or simply calling a friend.
The Star Tribune highlights a number of support organizations
HERE. In addition, Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light offers additional suggestions, such as:
Phone a friend. Take ten minutes and have a conversation with someone you know about police violence and George Floyd’s murder. Ask what the other person thinks, listen to their responses, and share your own perspective.
Phone a decision-maker. Make your voice heard by contacting your local city councilmember, county commissioner, state and federal representative.
