New Moose, Benches & Planters

Make sure you check out the moose sculpture and flowers outside the library.

The metal moose sculpture was an in-kind donation given as part of an IRRRB Downtown and Business Corridor Grant project.  The new benches were also part of that project.

The flowers and planters were purchased and prepared by the Friends of the Cook Public Library.
2020 Summer Reading Program
June 1 - August 28

Cook Public Library launches its adapted summer reading program on June 1, 2020.  During the next three months the library will provide a range of socially distanced activities for children, teens and adults to encourage and support a love of reading.  Participants can win prizes for reaching their reading goals.

Children can participate in a reading Bingo game, teens are trying a blackout grid style game, and adults are challenged to read books from various genres.  All games are available to print on the Cook Public Library website.  Please contact the library for a paper copy.

Due to COVID-19, there are no planned summer events at the library.  Patrons are encouraged to use curbside pickup and online resources until the library is able to open.

Library Director Crystal Phillips understands the library’s contribution to the community this summer.  “Now more than ever our library is committed to supporting lifelong learning and educational enrichment for all families,” said Phillips.

The Friends of the Cook Public Library will use monetary reserves to fund small prizes for summer reading participants.  “We’ve had great support in prior years,” said Friends treasurer, Kristi Sopoci.  “This summer we’re not asking for funds.  We can support Cook Library patrons and our community with our small savings.”

Summer reading programs continue through the end of August.  To learn more about the summer reading adventure and all updates at the library, please call 218-666-2210.
