AFSA Solidarity Economies Session #2 -

Collaborative Economies

Wed 3 Jun 6:00pm

Hi <<First Name>>,

Join us on Wed 3 Jun, for AFSA's online Solidarity Economies Session #2.

Register for this session

This round we'll be talking with the food systems game changers at Open Food Network about how collaboration can put power over supply chains back in the hands of growers and eaters, and help change go global.

Jen Sheridan of OFN Australia and Lynne Davis of OFN UK will be chatting to Nick about their work building and growing collaborative economies - connecting growers with each other and their eaters, harnessing logistics, reducing waste, and how their work went global.

OFN created a free online marketplace designed for farmers and eaters to connect, along with working on a range of further projects to support strong local food systems, and have helped hundreds of farmers get online in the current crisis.

Links will be sent to registered attendees so please make sure you book yourself in here.

If you are interested in supporting solidarity economies, small-scale farmers, and food sovereignty, being an AFSA member is a great way to start - it is our members who provide the mandate and the support for the work we do to advocate for everyone's right to decide their own food system. If you're not a member yet, you can join us here.

FOOD SOVEREIGNTY asserts the right of peoples to nourishing and culturally appropriate food produced and distributed in ecologically sound and ethical ways, and their right to collectively determine their own food and agriculture systems.

OUR PURPOSE is to cooperate to create an equitable, sustainable and resilient food system for all Australians.
