GIVING TO PRISONERS

So far we have been able to provide over twenty students with self-study classes in story writing. Rather than send all four of the normally required textbooks, we give the least expensive one and send a print-out of a guide for writers I put together to summarize the main points in the other texts. Please feel free to download the ebook, called Write Smart, or email me and request a copy of the print-out.

Start here if you would care to help us help incarcerated students.
FOR THOSE LIKE ME, TO WHOM ALL TECH IS ROCKET SCIENCE

When links to free ebooks appear in less is more, if you click you will go to Smashwords. Since I'd bet some readers aren't comfortable with downloading books from Smashwords,  here are brief instructions:.

After you land on the page of the given book and click Buy and enter the coupon code (if that's what makes the book free), then go down to the bottom right and you will see a box entitled Download and lots alternate formats.

If you aren't clear which format to download or how to get the file to your preferred ereader, computer, or smart phone, go to:

https://www.smashwords.com/about/supportfaq  At the beginning of this FAQ page you'll see links to instructions about how to read books on various devices.

I have a  Kindle Fire. I can download a Mobi file and then send to the email I found on Amazon under My Accounts/ Manage Devices. The email is also noted somewhere on the Kindle itself.

The only glitch I encountered was, on my particular device, the file goes to Docs, not Books. No big deal once I figured it out.

If you haven't gone through this process, give it a try with
Write Smart, the ebook I mentioned above. Here's a coupon code. CL85K,
TAKE A BREAK FROM READING, LISTEN TO A PODCAST

This week, you will find a lively presentation that answers the question, what the heck is inspiration? Go to I-Tunes or Google Play for The Writing and the Spirit Podcast.

I will be most delighted if you subscribe.
