TIDBITS OF HAPPENINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
“It’s OK to … but …”
A New Sermon Series - Starting May 31, 2020

Are Christians really free? What does that mean for how we can and should act? How do our emotions play into our freedoms and actions?

These tough questions play out for us every day in the decisions we make.

More specifically, there are many areas of our lives that get ignored, glossed over, over emphasized, or vandalized – and that shouldn’t be!

In our new sermon series, “It’s OK to … but …”, we are going to take a look at some of the important and practical issues every Christian faces and see what they mean for us as followers of Jesus.

The topics we will cover are, “It’s OK to … but …”

  • Be Angry
  • Grieve
  • Doubt
  • Have Sex
  • Drink Alcohol
  • Be a Democrat/Republican

Join us each week – in person or online! – starting May 31, 2020, as we explore these important areas of freedom and duty!

You are Needed – to Save Lives!

With surgeries starting back up at local hospitals, the need for more blood donations is growing daily. Your blood donation is essential to keep the blood supply strong and steady. Without on-going donors, we cannot ensure patients have the blood they need.

Currently, Type O blood especially is in demand, and we’re asking you to come in and donate today! The Blood Center has less than a one-day supply of blood on their shelves right now.

On Sunday, June 7, from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM in the LifeBridge Café, you can be a hero by making a blood donation!

This blood drive will be by appointment only to promote social distancing. Also, free Hero Masks will be offered to all successful donors!

Click here to SCHEDULE YOUR DONATION APPOINTMENT at LifeBridge and here FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Come one, come all!

On Sunday, June 14, from 12:00-3:00 PM, we will have a congregational picnic at the Boehm place!

There is plenty of space for all to spread out for social distancing and still enjoy each other’s company.

Everyone will bring their own food and drinks (though additional water will be provided), as to minimize extraneous touching. Sno cones will also be available.

Bring blankets and/or lawn chairs, yard games, and fishing poles!

It’ll be a nice, relaxing afternoon of food, fun, and fellowship “COVID Style.”

All are invited!
Join us for distance-fellowship and loads-of-fun!

BACK AT LIFEBRIDGE IN PERSON!

We did it!
Last Sunday, May 24, 2020, we were back LIVE and IN PERSON in worship at LifeBridge!

Things went very well and as planned with 56 people worshiping in person and many more live online!

We will continue to tweak items as we move forward. For now, we will continue our current process, including:

  1. Facemasks, though not required, are requested and recommended.
  2. On Communion Sundays (1st & 3rd of the month), Holy Communion will have pre-packaged and wrapped individual bread and wine containers to be shared by the pastor or elder, who will be masked and gloved.
  3. Families sit together, but there will be spaces between their seats and those of other attendees.
  4. No Sunday Bible class.
  5. No Children's Church.
  6. No nursery.
  7. Children sit with their families during worship.
  8. No Fellowship Time before worship.
  9. No Greeting Time during worship.
  10. Social distancing practices will be used.
  11. Sanitation of facilities will take place on Saturday evening and Sunday after worship.
  12. We will attempt to also stream live but, even if we can't, the service will be recorded and posted online later the same day.
  13. No worship folder and minimal use of other items that are touched.
  14. The café and youth room will be closed. All will enter and exit through the sanctuary entrance, while keeping social-distancing guidelines.

Remain in Jesus, grow in your faith, and stay safe!

This is just a short announcement to let everyone at LifeBridge know that I need to resign as the Head of the Trustees soon, and we will need someone to take over the Trustees.

The Trustee’s primary role at LifeBridge is to keep the building, grounds, and facilities in good, safe, and presentable order.

This position does not mean that you have to do the maintenance yourself, but are the person responsible for seeing that it gets done. Sometimes the Trustees take care of repairs or other maintenance items, while at other times, it requires getting a contractor involved.
