Reopening for In-person Appointments with Precautions
I've been closed since mid-March, and have decided to reopen this early June with limited appointments and precautions. In my reopening during this time of COVID-19 we must take precautions against transmission. If you’re feeling at all sick, please don’t make an in-person appointment. Instead, do a TeleHealth session. Otherwise, we’ll maintain the following protocols:
  • Make an appointment by texting me at (602) 770-4331 with your name and desired day and time. We'll set an appointment.
  • Arrive at the studio right at your appointment time, wearing a quality face mask and carrying minimal items. A quality face mask is one that filters and fits well. Cloth face masks should be made of tight weave fabric, doubled. The ideal for minimal items is your car keys and a credit card. No jewelry, please.
  • I’ll meet you outside, also wearing a quality face mask. We’ll have an intake conversation there.
  • I’ll lead you inside the studio, opening the door for you, and we’ll wash our hands well in the restrooms.
  • I’ll lead you into my therapy room, both of us taking care not to touch anything on the way.
  • We will minimize conversation during the session, and use positions that minimize breathing on each other. The door will remain open, for greater ventilation.
  • At the end of the session we’ll go to the restrooms, and wash our hands well.
  • If payment is due, we’ll follow the normal process, taking care not to touch unnecessary items.
  • I’ll lead you outside the studio, opening the door for you.
  • Between clients, I will process linens using bags for clean and used, wipe down surfaces with appropriate cleaning products, and - with the door closed - burn incense or moxa for the smoke to bind to airborne agents.
Note that:
  • For the time being I’m waiving cancellation fees. This is to make it easy for you to cancel if you suddenly don’t feel so well, think you’ve been recently exposed, or suddenly need to care for others.
  • In making an appointment, you agree to release me from any and all lliabilities related to COVID-19.
Taking care, in-person therapy is possible. Always, TeleHealth is available. Let’s focus on robust health, being able to handle all of life’s challenges!
TeleHealth Service
TeleHealth Service

A 30 minute videoconference session, using FaceTime, LINE or Zoom, for $45. During the session I perform an assessment, counsel you on Base4Health©, and coach you through appropriate self-therapy and/or arrive at a prescription for herbs. Base4Health© is nutrition, exercise, sleep and meditation. The self-therapies include self-acupressure, self-moxibustion and Meridian stretches. After the session, I send a summary email and, if prescribed, invoice for and ensure delivery of herbs.

Here's the process to initiate the session:
  • Go to my online store and pay for a 30 minute TeleHealth session.
  • Text me at (602) 770-4331 to schedule an appointment. We will decide on a time, and whether we'll use FaceTime, LINE or Zoom.
  • To start the appointment I will either call you with FaceTime or LINE, or you will join my meeting in Zoom.
During the session:
  • I will perform an assessment through observation, listening and questioning.
  • I will coach you through self-acupressure, self-moxibustion, Meridian stretching, meditation and/or arrive at a prescription for herbs.
After the session:
  • I will email a summary of the session.
  • If prescribed, I will invoice for and ensure delivery of herbs. If you are within approximately 10 miles of the office, I will either deliver the herbs to you or you can stop by the office at an arranged time to pick them up. If you are further than that from the office, you can either stop by the office at an arranged time to pick them up, or I can have the herbs drop-shipped to your location. If I don't have the herbs in stock or the herbs are being drop-shipped, it will take a few days for the herbs to arrive. When picking up at the office, we will use appropriate "physical distancing" in this time of COVID-19.
While in-person appointments are wonderful, sometimes they're not possible. In case of the latter, TeleHealth sessions can be very satisfying and effective. Give it a try!
Here's an informative video on face masks - it turns out a doubled cloth mask is an effective guard. My brother gave me such a mask recently, and it's very comfortable and fashionable! I look forward to seeing yours in this initial phase of reopening.

Best wishes,
