eNews Update
June 1, 2020
It is hard to believe we are in the month of June.  As we begin the process of evaluating the health, science, and guidelines for reopening the church for in-person worship, we ask for your prayers.  We have begun the deep cleaning necessary over these next few weeks, including professional carpet cleaning and cleaning of all the worship chairs. A new water heater has been installed so we now have hot water in the kitchen, restrooms, and nursery.  We continue to ask for your help in securing wall-mounted hand sanitizers, antibacterial soap, cleaning agents (especially Lysol sprays and disinfectants), masks, paper towels, and toilet paper.  If you are able to drop items off, please call the church office 760-788-7456 so that we are able to open up the facility and accept the donations.  If you prefer to help with a financial donation for any of these items or the live streaming with AT&T ($200 per month) please mark it "safety fund". We appreciate any help you can give at this time.  The church council leadership will be meeting June 15th to evaluate all necessary guidelines and health information that will inform the decision about our timeline for in person worship.
In the meantime, we will continue our weekly schedule: Daily Devotionals at 8am; Monday Zoom Bible Study 8am; Tuesday Music with the Browns 9am; Thursday Music Worship with the Harrisons 6pm, and Live Stream Worship each Sunday 9am.  Home Groups continue their study on "The Chosen", a series on the life and ministry of Jesus.  Call the church office or let Al Rogers know you would like to be part of the study.
A BIG THANK YOU for all the names submitted for our new church family friend.  Amadeus (Lover of God) was chosen out of the basket last Sunday, and so the Gorilla Ape...has a new name.  He will share in the children's messages in the weeks ahead.
On Sunday June 21, we will celebrate Father's Day.  Plan to share in this day as we honor the family.  We will have two $30 Starbucks gift cards to give away.  All the men of the congregation will have their names submitted for the drawing!  Remember to have your elements (bread, wine, or both) ready for Holy Communion on June 7, and June 21.
We continue our prayers for all in our church family who need God's healing this day.  May we look to our Lord for comfort and peace in these difficult times together.

            God's Peace Always,
            Pastor Dan
