The pick up/drop off will be a drive-through occasion. Here are the directions for when you arrive...
  • Tables on which to place drop off materials will be placed near the entry of the school. Cars will pull up to a coned area parents may then exit the vehicle once inside the coned area to place items (labeled and in a grocery bag) on the table.

  • Families will then drive up to a second coned area 6+ feet from the sidewalk.

  • Tables with student items will be set up on the sidewalk.

  • A staff member will retrieve the bags of all students in the family and will place students’ bags on a table near the cones for the parent to retrieve (no contact).

Rainout Plans
If the weather does not cooperate, pick-up/drop off will be located on the tiled gather area just inside the building.
  • One family at a time will be allowed to enter.
  • Families will place their items to return on a marked table.
  • Staff will retrieve the bags containing students' belongings and place them on the moveable reception desk.

Red lines in the picture indicate cones. The yellow table is the drop-off area for items belonging to the school. The white tables indicate where student belongings will be.

Graduation
This Thursday, Saint John's will host a celebration with live-streaming through our Church's Youtube Channel and by radio using an FM transmitter. This will be a small gathering limited to the immediate family of our sixth-grade students only.

The ceremony will begin at 6 pm. Families can listen or watch the ceremony live from their personal devices (ratio, smartphone, or tablet).

Families should remain in their vehicles until the "reception" time. During the reception, each family will be given a table socially distanced from other graduates' tables.

We are praying for a beautiful day to enjoy being as together as we can be and still maintain social distancing recommendations.
The Aim Higher Foundation is ramping up the summer application cycle in an effort to help even more children attend Catholic schools in the fall. Aim Higher is excited to announce that they expect to award more than double the number of scholarships than awarded last summer. Here are three things you need to know about the summer cycle:
  1. Aim Higher will begin accepting new TADS applications on June 1st. Aim Higher will close the application process on August 7. Unlike the first cycle, they will be awarding scholarships on a rolling basis throughout the summer to help more families make decisions about enrollment as soon as possible.

  2. Families that have not yet applied for an Aim Higher Scholarship for this school year will follow the normal TADS application process

  3. Families that have already applied but have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 will need to complete a two-step process so we can review their updated circumstances. First—families will need to complete a form on our website with the updated information. Second—they will need to log-on to TADS to upload the appropriate documents to verify their information.

The Saint John the Baptist Catholic School Golf Tournament traditionally planned for early June has been canceled this year due to concerns regarding COVID-19. We ARE working on an alternative fundraiser, stay tuned for more information!
