Counselling Services
We'd like to remind you that we are here to help, if you are in need of someone to talk to. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our counsellors for support and guidance. The counsellors are available via virtual counselling, as well as email and phone. Virtual counselling is face-to-face contact over the computer and allows for set appointment times that are convenient for you.

One-on-One Self Care Workshops
Available to ALL community members - Available upon request 
If you are struggling to work self care into your new schedule, or would just like some tips and tricks, you can book an appointment for one-on-one support and planning with the VFPC. After reviewing some self care strategies and exploring what self care looks like for you, you will be able to complete your very own self care plan. Self care is so important for fostering resilience and managing stress.

Release Support
Are you releasing or thinking about releasing from the Military? Book a virtual appointment with the VFPC to review the steps involved in the process, start planning, and obtain important information to support you in your transition. There are many benefits and programs available to you and your family, even after you release.

All parcels must be addressed to Bellville, Ontario where they are collected and shipped overseas.

Update from Youth Programs Coordinator:
Hello!
I hope everyone has been enjoying the beautiful weather and staying safe. 

We have made the decision to re open in-person youth day camps. We will be taking precautions and adding new procedures to keep everyone safe, please review them
HERE. If possible, camps will be outside. Please send your children with spray sunscreen, hat and lots of water to every camp. 

I would again, like to thank everyone for your patience and cooperation during this adjustment period. Any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Nature Kids
Nature Kids will run once a week for children in Kindergarten to Grade 6 during July and August. It will promote building confidence, creativity, imagination as well as exercise and new experiences in the outdoors. 
Drop off with be at the MFRC Youth Centre doors except for once a month, the drop off and pick up will be in Brandon, so that we can explore what the Brandon trails have to offer
(location will be emailed to participants once registration closes). 
*please do not forget to pack a lunch, hat, sunscreen (preferably spray), bug spray and lots of water as this is based mostly outside!

Preschool Programs now being offered virtually and face-to-face!

The Shilo MFRC Preschool Programs will now be offering a combination of virtual and face-to-face programming. All face-to-face programming will take place outside for the time being, so have your children ready to be outdoors for the whole program.
Programs being offered virtually will be done through a combination of ZOOM meet-ups and videos on our Facebook page! You must have access to internet and a computer/tablet/phone that supports the app. Once you are registered, you will be emailed a meeting code to access the program, a list of items to have ready for our session & any special instructions you might need for the program!

We hope to see you all there!
