Dear Friends in Poetry,
Expand and strengthen your poetry network! California Poets in the Schools warmly welcomes you to our first-ever, Virtual Poetry Symposium. This cutting-edge, weekend event is geared towards all people 12-112 who have an interest in the literary arts – including poets, writers, teachers, students and more. Offerings will include creative writing workshops, poetry readings, and presentations geared towards teaching poetry in community settings. Registration is required but registrants can pick and choose which workshops they participate in. The conference will occur on ZOOM. Registration is free (donations encouraged) on our website. There is no need to sign up for individual workshops - just the conference itself. Registration will remain open until Thursday, June 25th at 9:00am, or until we reach our cap. The join link will be sent to all registrants 3-5 days before the event, and sent again the day before the event.

ONLINE POETRY WORKSHOP FOR YOUTH
California Poets in the Schools has created an online poetry workshop for youth in response to school closures amidst the COVID-19 shutdown. Lessons are free to everyone and require no prep. This online workshop is growing and lessons will continue to be added throughout the pandemic. Click here to start writing!
