Two weeks into summer lessons!

I had planned to send an email last week to update you, but life got away from me. So here we are! Two weeks in and things are going great! First, thank you to all the parents and students who are participating this summer and allowing me the opportunity to serve you! It’s been really fun to teach in person and online in my new space!

I wanted to share a couple of updates with you, as well as some information. With using Tonara, starting Sunday, we’re going to do a weekly practice competition. From Sunday to Sunday, whoever has the most points will win a prize! I’m going to do that every week over the summer as a little extra incentive to practice!

The weeks of July 20th, 27th, August 3rd and 10th, I’m going to be offering online music camps. They are going to alternate between a study of Carnival of the Animals and Peter and the Wolf for K-3rd grade and between different sets of composers for 4th-8th grade. These camps will be in the mornings, and if you’re a current student (or sibling) and you want to participate, I’ll give you $15 off the $50 price. Finally, while I have 15 students currently and 2 new students starting in July, I have space for 28 students, and would love to fill that time! I have 8, 6 and 4 lesson packages available, and if you recommend someone to start lessons and they do, I’ll give you a $25 discount. The great part about online lessons is that they don’t have to be in the area! I have 2 students who aren’t in the state of Texas! 

I’m already starting to think about fall lessons, as fall will be my first venture into full-time teaching. I’m excited about this opportunity, and as soon as I have days and times set, I will let you know so that you can have first choice of your time.
