Rhody Cruisers will be holding a Cars & Coffee event at AutoZone in Florence on the SECOND and FORTH Saturday of each month. The first Cars & Coffee will be June 27th, from 10AM until 12:00 Noon. Everyone is welcome. AutoZone is excited to host this event for Classic Cars, Hot Rods, Foreign Cars, Cool Trucks and Motorcycles. AutoZone will be providing Coffee and Donuts for us until they are gone. See you there. (pending approval of regional Management)

Regency Florence invited the Rhody Cruisers to have a car parade for one of their residents, a Marine Corp Veteran turning 90. “Chuck”, a Korea USMC Vet, turns 90 on Tuesday 16 June. Rachel and the Regency staff will have Chuck sitting in the car port outside the entrance from 1600-1700 so that other Marines and Vets can drive thru and wish him Happy 90th! (Directly north of Grocery Outlet). The PD and FD crews will be there, and I’ve committed to get as many of our Band of Brothers as possible!

Cruise to Bandon

Leaving 9:00 AM
Elks Lodge @Hwy 101
Drive time: 1hr 32 min.
Its not a big surprise that rain happens here on the coast. The next date is Saturday June 20. So far it looks sunny and warm. There is a good chance we may meet up with members of Over The Hill Gang, and Mid-Valley Mustangs. I hope you can make it as a kickoff to Fathers Day.
The Bandon City Manager’s office said we are welcome to come visit!
*** Covid rules in Bandon are: maintain social distancing, some businesses will require masks. Most restaurants and stores are open! (Please call restaurants directly or visit their websites for Take-Out, and Dine-In hours and options.)
Parking lots are open, so is the public restroom on 1st. St. (right on the riverfront.) The Creamery also has restrooms.
Bandon’s Old Town is 10 square blocks of shopping, dining, history, art, culture and outdoor recreation. South Jetty is now open! We can spend the day exploring the historic business district, just off Highway 101 South, on the Coquille River waterfront.
Park in Bandon in Old Town lot- west end of town- there is a paved lot and an adjacent dirt lot available. Everyone grab food, return to lot area to eat ( while staying 6 ft apart- recommended by Bandon City), or eat in restaurant, they are now open for this. Relax, talk, walk around Old Town, shop, restroom break etc…,
... Cruise home when ready.

 Every Wednesday PM Cruise: The event is happening every Wednesday, benefitting Florence Food Share. Bring canned or packaged food for donation.
The last cruise was heavily attended by many Cruisers, and several new people and their cool cars. We Roll Bay Street, Hwy 101, and visit the Food Share.
Meet up at the Port parking lot at 5:00 PM just to hang out and cruise. See You there.

Some Stuff To Do While We Wait.

In our recent Membership Update, I asked who uses Facebook... Well, a lot of you do, but don't belong to the "Oregon Coast Hot Rods Group". The group now has 324 members from all over the area and beyond. While it was not my intention, it has become a staple of communication within the Rhody Cruisers. We see last minute invites for a "Bay Street Roll", Classic Car pictures, Old Hot Rods and even great music links. Gear heads from all over Oregon post, comment on stuff, and help solve problems and recommend resources. Do you want to know what's up, tell a story or post a picture?
