How big is Van Ness Main Street's first virtual silent auction?

It's so big, with so many donated items from local merchants and service providers, that Van Ness Main Street had to split the bidding between TWO auction pages. Here are details on the two easy ways to join the bidding. The auction is live through noon on Thursday, June 25.

Van Ness Main Street needs to raise $5,300 toward its $12,000 goal by June 30.... All for the cause of supporting local businesses through Covid-19 and other challenges. 

Phase One in Forest Hills

With the aid of Van Ness Main Street, we are tracking changes in Van Ness and Forest Hills business operations, including the reopening of Cut 'n Edge for haircuts (by appointment). Also:

"Racism is a pandemic," wrote one Chevy Chase resident sharing plans for nightly candlelight vigils. UDC Law students organized a June 6th march. 

After that weekend, Mayor Bowser urged everyone who protested to get tested for Covid-19, and introduced free walk-up testing at DC firehouses. Engine Company 31 at 4930 Connecticut is providing tests from 4 to 8 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays.

Tenant associations and advocates say some Upper Connecticut apartment buildings were slow to mandate masks and put up signs about the requirements.

And tonightANC 3F has invited the head of the District's Covid-19 response to provide an update on the Days Inn quarantine site.
