Member Benefits Update

The WYCR Needs Your Help

We’re looking for people to tackle the following non-board positions. Some of these jobs require a minimal amount of time/work, others will need a bit more of a commitment.

· MAGAZINE AIDES: JR. EDITOR / LAYOUT DESIGN / GRUNT

· GRANT COORDINATOR
· FARMER'S MARKET LIAISON

The WCYR needs volunteers in order to stay active. Please consider running for any of the above positions. Anyone on the board would be more than happy to discuss the jobs with you, and you will have plenty of support and assistance from us.

WCYR Events Statement

WCYR and COVID-19

As the region begins to open up, social distancing will still be necessary. Due to the crowding that will undoubtedly take place as events resume, the WCYR has decided to suspend participation in all in-person events for the remainder of the year. Events will continue to be listed for those who wish to attend on their own.

We will keep you up-to-date on any online events that pop up.

Nanci Pattenden

CO-Events Coordinator

Has been officially cancelled for 2020!

CULTURE DAYS - A Virtual Event
Sept. 25 - Oct. 25

 Share your writing with Newmarket!

Whether you are stretching your wings as a fledgling writer, write for yourself, or are published (traditional or self) the Newmarket Cultural Committee is looking for writers willing to read 10 min. excerpts of their work and record them (from home) to be included in their 2-month long Cultural Days event this fall.

The recordings don’t need to be submitted until some time in August. They will be uploaded to the Town’s Culture Days pages, which is part of the nationwide Culture Days platform. This isn’t a live event, like FB Live. Authors will be required to provide the recording, using whatever platform they choose, and then submit the video file.
