How to Access eBooks: OverDrive, SimplyE, and More!
Thursday June 18 at 2:00 - 3:30 pm
Come to this class to learn about OverDrive, our original e-book lending resource, and Libby, a faster, more attractive app made by OverDrive. Libby has the same collection of titles as OverDrive, but it’s a different browsing experience and interface, so if you find OverDrive a bit clunky, Libby might be for you. We’ll also take a quick look at another e-book lending resource, RBdigital, and then head over to our newest app called SimplyE, which allows you to search for, download and read your e-books from OverDrive/Libby and RBdigital- all from one app. Plus, SimplyE has other e-book collections made available to you. We’ll go over everything you need to know in this class. Registration is required to receive meeting link. Click here to register.

Join the quest! Library patrons of all ages are invited to participate this summer in a series of distance challenges from Blackstone Library!

From June 19th through August 21st, we’re challenging you to play in one of two ways: as a family team (only one email address required to sign up) or as an individual (register with your own email address, one for each player). Each week, participants who register will receive an email challenge. You choose which quests to complete, then submit your response to the library.

For each challenge you (or your family) completes, you’ll receive a virtual prize ticket for a prize drawings at the end of the summer! The more challenges you complete, the more chances you have to win!

Registration is required if you want to participate. Click here to register.

Virtual Book Discussion - Me and White Supremacy
Friday, June 19 at 12:00 - 1:00 pm

Don’t let social distancing prevent you from discussing a great book with your neighbors! Download Me and White Supremacy by Layla F. Saad on Hoopla (free with your Blackstone Library card), then meet up with us via zoom for a live book discussion on June 19th.

This eye-opening book challenges you to do the essential work of unpacking your biases, and helps white people take action and dismantle the privilege within themselves so that you can stop (often unconsciously) inflicting damage on people of color, and in turn, help other white people do better, too.
