ENTLEBUCHER FÖRSTERSCHNITTEN
COOK WITH CHEF YANNICK GERMANIER
Go on a culinary tour of Switzerland with Chef Yannick Germanier and discover the Entlebucher Försterschnitten from a once wild valley in the canton of Lucerne. This hearty toast topped with cured meat, melted cheese, pears and creamed mushrooms can be served as an appetizer or main course and is the ideal comfort food. Traditionally it calls for fresh chanterelles, known for their peppery flavor and meaty texture, which are perfect in this sweet and savory combination, but you can also choose any seasonal mushroom. The dish is best finished off with fresh herbs. Watch Yannick prepare the Entlebucher Försterschnitten hereThe recipe can be found in the video description.

PETRA BY ANIMAL TRAINER
RECOMMENDED BY JONAS PASQUIER
My name is Jonas Pasquier and I'm the Head of the Political Team at the Permanent Mission of Switzerland. I coordinate the engagement of Switzerland at the UN on peace and security matters, in particular in the context of Switzerland’s first-ever bid for a seat on the Security Council in 2023/24. I have always been into music, but DJing has played a particularly important role during my diplomatic career in order to balance the intense work in stressful times. Treading these two paths has inspired my artist name, Mr.Hyde. In my sets you find many tracks of Animal Trainer, an electronic Zurich-made duo. Full of samples and vocals that always strike the perfect balance between beat and melody, Animal Trainer’s creations will please techno fans as much as mood music lovers. Their blending (métissage) of different musical influences is representative of Swiss identity and culture. Listen to one of their latest releases Petra here.
