Attached is a four (4) page document from the District 4 Bylaws Committee to use as a supplement to the attached thirty six (36) page full report from the Zonta International Bylaws and Resolutions Committee. The full report from Zonta International is a listing of all the Proposed Amendments to Zonta International Bylaws, Rules of Procedure and Proposed Resolutions to be voted on by our club delegates at the Zonta International Convention.
The four (4) page document is set up so you get a brief review of the items on which to be voted. You will see the Bylaw, Amendment or Proposal, the voting recommendation by the District Committee, the level(s) impacted by the item (Zonta International (ZI), District or Clubs) and any comments. Highlighted in yellow are recommendations for any no vote to make it easier to see a no.
The District 4 Bylaws Committee is recommending voting the same way the Zonta International Board recommends with four (4) exceptions. Those exceptions are number 13 a-d, Article XIII - pertaining to voting. The rationale for this recommendation is due to the outcome of voting on these items at our 2019 District 4 Conference. The outcome at the conference was to forward these recommendations to Zonta International for inclusion in the Proposed Bylaw Amendments for vote at the upcoming Zonta Convention. As our District supported these proposals, the District 4 Bylaw Committee is recommending a yes vote to these items.
