Park, Pray & Praise!

On June 14 at 7 p.m., our church family will gather in the St. Andrew parking lot for a special one-hour event: Park, Pray & Praise! This is an opportunity for our congregation to reconnect in an open-air environment and enjoy a program of prayer and praise. Bring lawn chairs and sit outside of your car or remain in your car and roll down the windows. As long as you are wearing a mask and remain physically distanced it is fine to talk with others in the parking lot. Each parking space is 8' wide, so use the lines to help you maintain a safe distance when visiting with friends before the show.

To keep our gathering as safe as possible everyone is asked to wear a mask and to respect the need for physical distance between cars and people in the parking lot. Parking attendants will guide the parking process.

Please remember that the intersection at 500 N and CR 50 W is closed until August. Please take this into consideration when planning your travels to church.

Red Bird Mission Needs
Your Help!

Red Bird Mission, the United Methodist mission located in southeast Kentucky, serves the needy and desperate in a remote area of Appalachia. St. Andrew has sent teams there to serve in recent years. Like so many organizations, Red Bird has been severely impacted by the pandemic and resulting economic downturn. The Mission’s need for donations to support its various ministries has become critical. They are dedicating the dwindling resources to the ministries of feeding low-income families with children, delivering meals to home-bound individuals and the elderly, and meeting payroll for those staff who have not been furloughed. The Mission is literally functioning on a day-to-day basis. Any size donation is welcome and needed. Again, the need is critical and immediate. Please consider not only praying for the mission staff and the community they serve, but also making a donation to help keep the important services they offer in place. You can do this as an on-line donation to St. Andrew, or by sending a donation to the church office. Please earmark any donation for Red Bird Mission / Community Outreach. You can contact Craig or Sue Anderson at 260-701-7919 about this need.  Thank you.

Volunteers Needed!

The Tippecanoe County United Food Pantry, Inc. is currently open one day per week: Wednesdays from 12-2:30 p.m.

Due to Covid-19, the pantry is being operated as a drive-through, no-contact pantry. Volunteers will be needed to pack bags/boxes, to load boxes into cars, and to possibly re-stock the pantry inside. (There may be some walk-up clients as well, which will be handled at the south side of the building, again, no-contact.)
The Wednesday shift is three hours. Volunteers need to arrive by 11:45 a.m. and stay until at least 2:45 p.m. for clean up and restocking. All volunteers are required to wear a mask. Bring your own, if possible, but the pantry will have extra masks available for those that need one.

The pantry is located at 1320 Tippecanoe Street in Lafayette (off of 14th Street across from Franciscan St. Elizabeth Central, a block from Budges’ Drive-In). Volunteers should park in the Lafayette Christian Reformed Church lot at the corner of 13th and Tippecanoe Street.
