Local Food Partnerships Day of Action and Celebration
Sustainable Food Places (SFP) is organising a Day of Celebration and Action TODAY to showcase the incredible work local food partnerships are doing across the UK to meet the needs arising from the coronavirus crisis while continuing to work towards the shared goals of a more prosperous, equitable and sustainable food system. The Day of Celebration and Action is happening on twitter under the hashtag #goodfoodtogether.
Join us to celebrate local food partnerships and all the great food work happening in Wandsworth. Share on twitter what you’re most proud of in working to create a better food system for everyone in these challenging times. Use the hashtags #goodfoodtogether #foodpartnership and tag @FoodCities, @MHCLG, @RobertJenrick, @WandsworthFP, @wandbc and any of your local partners to spread the word on social media and help increase our reach.
Alongside this celebration, the SFP Network will be calling on the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government Robert Jenrick MP to support one food partnership in every local area. The letter has the support of over 30 of the best-known national food and farming organisations including the Food Foundation, Fareshare, Royal Society for Public Health, the Food Farming and Countryside Commission, N8 AgriFood and the London Food Board, as well as Councillors, Directors of Public Health and prominent academics and experts including Professor Tim Lang and Jeanette Orrey MBE.
